Red Jacket 12V Mini LED Neon Flex is the modern, low-voltage replacement for traditional glass neon. Traditional glass neon looks beautiful but is fragile, power-hungry and difficult to transport or customize. Vasten’s Red Jacket mini neon flex solves that with a 12V DC low-voltage architecture: safe to touch, cool-running, and simple enough for standard installers or DIY users with basic low-voltage knowledge.
The outer housing is constructed with eco-friendly, anti-UV PVC, formulated to resist yellowing and brittleness under indoor lighting and covered/semi-outdoor conditions. The red jacket also gives the product a strong daytime color identity — even when unlit, the tube clearly reads as “red neon” rather than a plain white strip.
Inside the jacket, the LED layout uses 108 pcs SMD2835 per meter​ for continuous linear output. A dedicated lighting/diffuser layer improves light transmission, while the side-view internal structure​ distributes the LEDs evenly along the optic channel. The result is uniform brightness, soft visual comfort, and no harsh LED dots or dark spots when viewed from the front or side.
Because the flex is extra-thin and lightweight, it bends smoothly into scripts, logos, hearts, arrows, building edges, shelf trims and decorative shapes. The recommended bend direction is horizontal, with a minimum bend diameter of approx. 4cm, so it follows curves without kinking the FPCB or crushing the jacket.

Installation is designed for speed:
Cut only at the marked cut lines
12V mini version cuts every 3 LEDs / 2.77cm
Reconnect with nylon connectors, splice pins, end caps or heat-shrink accessories
For outdoor or damp locations, all cut points and joints must be resealed with neutral-cure silicone/waterproof glue to keep the IP65 rating
The strip runs about 8W/m, making it energy-efficient for long runs in bedrooms, counters, sign boxes and façade trims. LEDs and key components are double-protected to reduce single-point failure, and the sealed PVC construction removes the glass-breakage risk common with classic neon.
